Self-care is not a reward. It’s part of the process and it benefits us by improving our mental and physical health through better self-esteem, less stress, and overall wellbeing.
There are different ways to focus on self-care, many of which involve making time to get enough sleep, prioritizing healthy meals, getting regular exercise, spending time in nature, making time for friends, and so many more.
Self-Care is an important part of our daily practice because is helps us stay in a more balanced energy. The mind can influence what kind of stress we hold in our physical body, the mental and emotional energy can influence our internal body sensations and that can affect our responses in our daily environment.
