Deepen and refine your backbends

Join me for a practice designed to help you refine your backbends by focusing on the actions that will, strengthen your back, lengthen your spine and decompress your lower-back. 
In this practice we will flow to open the front part of the body to eventually create a solid foundation for poses like Camel Pose and Wheel pose. 
Back-bending with greater comfort will be one of the main goals in this class, so get ready to learn different modifications to create depth in your backbend practice.
WHY BACKBENDS?
Due to our daily activities lots of us will be habitually rounding our shoulders and backs with things like computer work, driving, texting, cycling, playing with kids etc. 
In backbends we do the very opposite promoting a healthy spine, one of the reasons why they are so great!

Join me for a systematic approach to inversions, where we will break down some of the most popular inverted poses step by step.

Going upside down can be really scary for a lot of people, but inversions don’t have to be scary once you understand and learn how to prepare for and stay safe in an inverted yoga pose.


Gain a new perspective:

Inversions are postures that take you upside down, meaning they bring the hips higher than the heart and the heart higher than the head allowing you to obtain numerous benefits such as better balance, boost of energy, a sense of trust and confidence, stimulation of the lymphatic system, improvement of circulation and increase of focus.

There’s an inversion for every level in yoga, no matter where you are in your practice, in this master class you’ll be able to find and explore a way to get upside down safely and gain the benefits of an inversion.

Optimize, enhance and up-level your yoga practice

Learn the traditional Bandha system and put them into practice during these active, 

in-depth master class where we will understand the traditional teachings of yoga’s primary Bandhas also known as (locks of energy) providing you with a clear understanding on how to work from your center.


With a modern understanding we will learn to utilize the energy centers in our hands, feet and core to have you soaring into poses such as crow, side crow, forearm balance and eight-limb pose.


Whether you’re a new student or a long term practitioner, you’ll gain experiential knowledge that you can utilize to enrich your personal practice. 


We’ll start with a brief meditation and then we’ll move, sweat, and explore.

THE 8 LIMBS OF YOGA

Many of us discover yoga through movement and classes focused on physical postures. The poses of yoga are just one aspect of the eightfold path. Over the 6 classes, we will dive into the 8 limbs of yoga and understand how all of these aspects are interconnected and part of our ever evolving yoga practice. This workshop series will help strengthen your foundation as a yoga practitioner and offer insight and reflection on how to embody these teachings in your life.
